There's no mention of St Petersburg in that post, it is all about the black sea.
Ah, I know what I did. I looked at the date which was the same date they struck St Petersburg and come to the wrong conclusion, so wot Blakey said

interesting comment on Sky News from a Russian expert = Russia rarely changes leaders, but when they do, it happens very quickly.
Yeabut, that's sprinkled with hope, personal or otherwise.

This is the type of thing that gives 'progressive Democrats' a bad name... oh, the purity of not wishing to harm ordinary Russians! Despite Omar being the only Democrat to vote against the Act, enough Republicans supported it that it passed anyway.

I don't understand the post. Is this correct - Omar did not vote for the support act because of the economic sanctions despite being an apparent supporter of Ukraine?
The last few paragraph's of Zelensky's open letter to Putin.
If you do not personally come to the conclusion that it is time to end this war, Ukraine will continue fighting for its existence. We will have those who support us.
But you, too, will have to fight much harder for your own existence — not Russia’s, but your own. And this is not a threat from me or from Ukraine. It is a fact of Russian history that you know well: when Russia grows tired, change comes.
We can work toward that fatigue.
You can stop your war.
Eternal memory to all those whose lives were taken by this war.
It's a long letter where no impact is lost in the simplicity of the language used.

There is something very poetic about the way people who speak English as a second language write/speak.
