I doubt it. More like arrogance/complacency before getting a reality check.
I agree that's the most likely explanation.

Worrying part is that Haarland was so ineffective that he was substituted.
Kane was as effective.
I admit, I am ignorant wrt to football, but, I never rate Kane, but, he keeps on scoring goals!
Didn't last night though, which was rather my point. 😉
Along with not doing much overall either.

I genuinely think he (and several others) looked shattered last night, to the point I was wondering if they had a little bit of the sickness bug Rice had. In a group of people in close contact it would be unusual for only one person to be affected.
He's rubbish. Every one of his 85 goals in his 120 matches for England has been a fluke and all the managers who selected him were idiots who knew nothing about football. Similarly with his 423 goals for Spurs and Bayern.
I didn't claim he is rubbish, I said he had one ineffective game. It happens.
Whether that was due to illness or refs/oppositions sussing him out we may never know, or maybe on Wednesday.
Should be on for the Argentina match then. Football's coming home... Unless of course you believe in the FIFA conspiracy.even the top strikers are only effective around 50% of the time

I think this is effectively the final. Hope Spain win tbh, because in the unlikely event England follow suit the match up is better. The French going forward would have no difficulty scoring against us.
