I know and accept that.

But you must accept that people may reasonably, not see it as neutral.

Perhaps we need a "This emoji means absolutely nothing" emoji. But there already is a solution for that.

Where did I say it was neutral?

On a different subject, I expressed admiration for Farage's tactics in achieving his objective. That doesn't mean I admire Farage as an individual (I think he is a turd, as it happens), nor does it mean I admire or agree with his objectives or views You may recall, like you, I am a Remainer). It means exactly what I said it means, ie, I admired his ability to "win", or, at least to cause major upset, against two better financed and larger party machines, perhaps, there are lessons to learn there? (I am not saying there are, merely that there maybe). There was at least one individual on here who could not, or would not grasp this differentiation..... I don't see that as my problem.

I said it would not be seen as neutral. I believe you said some time ago it was just as encouragement to keep posting, particularly to one poster, which I described at the time as rather patronising. Like it or not it is logical for people to read an opinion into an emoji and to see a laughing emoji as a mostly positive sign.

Your Farage post was a long time ago, I believe, and water under the bridge.

Farage’s tactics were lies, misinformation and stoking hatred. Which were your faves?

I didn't say I had a favourite, I said, I admired that he achieved so much traction, despite being the underdog. IMHO, he also had a completely untenable position, but, he did win over a lot of people (not me, I hasten to add).

That many people are/were attracted to his obnoxious views may not be palatable, but, the reality is, they were.

You said that you “expressed admiration for his tactics”. Which tactics did you admire the most?

Very true, but, it would appear, some people's emoji clicks are fascinating, to some.

OK, my sloppy English strikes again, how about I admired that he managed to outmanoeuvre the much larger party machines ranged against him...... in the area in which I live, he had Labour on the run, and, he certainly managed to rattle Cameron nationally.

And he managed it all by himself without any need for support from billionaire media barons or dodgy Russian money. What a hero.

True, the other parties did not have any backers, did they?, isn't the worrying bit that such a toss-pot, and his cranky ideas managed to achieve such traction, with a significant portion of the population?

So what is it particularly about calling someone a prostitute that you admire?
