One member's strapline: "Like Knights Of Old, With Sword In Hand, We Take Back Our Home, Our Land."

Obviously perfectly okay.

If moderation is to work, and there is no real reason why it shouldn't, it at least should be consistent.

Yesterday our BR habit of a daily thread (which has always been against the grain of the mundane news), I posted Thursday's thread title: 'Thursday: Cinderella mit der grossen steppen sisters...
At some point it was edited to : Cinderella and her sisters.

You may have noticed that the above is not German, it's nonsense. I took it from the book '

CINDERELLA HASSENPFEFFER And Other Tales Mein Grossfader Told.

https://www.amazon.de/CINDERELLA-HASSENPFEFFER-Other-Tales-Grossfader/dp/B0007EDWXQ

A collection of fairy tales, translated to 'German'. I have a paperback copy. It's hilarious, made to sound German but it is not German.

If you fancy something to read that's not doom and gloom (well, actually it is as none of the stories turn out in the traditional way), then i'm sure you could get a paperback copy quite cheap. But German it definitely isn't.

Maybe I won't try posting this version of Humpty Dumpty:

Un petit d'un petit
S'étonne aux Halles
Un petit d'un petit
Ah! degrés te fallent
Indolent qui ne sort cesse
Indolent qui ne se mène
Qu'importe un petit d'un petit
Tout Gai de Reguennes.

(If you say it 'in French', it kinda comes out as English - it's from Luis d'Antin van Rooten's nonsense book "Mots d'Heures: Gousses, Rames")

Look on the bright side though that you didn't get a slap across the wrist or time-out for such a serious misdemeanour.

Well I was pleased that they didn’t censor this thread:-
