So basically there is already a four year wait for commission pieces on the plinth.
I imagine it would take 4 years to design and commission a statue of her Maj anyway.
Does he want an instant statue erected immediately?

One of the reasons for proposing a Jewish state in the Middle East was that anti-semites like Balfour wanted Jews relocated away from the West.

One of my favourite museums. I didn't know about the repatriation programme, but a moments contemplation and I correctly guessed the only contentious items.

Can you imagine the outrage if it transpired that an Indonesian museum had a display of the de-skulled heads of English men and women? How would we react to right-wing Indonesian pundits, grifters and lobby groups refusing to hand the remains back to British relatives?

When you look at it that way you can't ignore the inherent racism of these places.
