Ah but I'm in Holland and the vernacular is vrouw, which also means woman, which is even dodgier I reckon. "Partner" sounds too transactional to me. She sometimes calls me man/husband, but usually it's Hoi!
I sometimes call her my trophy wife. Couldn't you do something similar (given the yawning age gap) and call the bf your toy boy.
