Maybe the side with the 180-seat deficit is more in need of a decent act.

That's not the point though, is it?

If you're going to make it a popularity and wit contest, who on the Labour front bench has wit and likeability?
Keir 'Charisma' Starmer?
Angela 'Toreh Scum' Rayner?
Ed 'Bacon Sandwich' Miliband?
David 'Calamity' Lammy?

Not necessarily 'wit' in the sense of side-splitting one-liners (mind you, not something Carr does either), but being able to think on her feet and being able to make gentle fun of Starmer (and would maybe make her a teensy weensy bit more likeable). Agree about substance though - most of the time she's firing blanks, apparently unable to understand why Starmer's still standing.

When it transpires that one of her spotty oik ex Eton researchers have totally stuffed up on things such as "facts" she totally lacks the wit to change to plan B, and just asks a series of questions now rendered moot.

It is either that or she lacks the wit to ask for a plan B.

Its a bit like Ferrari pit stop strategy, where plan B is the same as plan A but a bit faster, and when it turns out they can't go any faster they revert to plan C, which is actually plan A but they don't want McLaren to know this.

It is the point if they actually want to win an election.

I did say 'if' ๐Ÿ™‚

Out of interest, who do you think gets the left of centre vote?

Is this meant to be a trick question? In England the Greens. In Scotland and Wales the Greens and the Nationalists.

This is an old version, the BNP and UKIP are still there, which shows how long it's been that labour haven't been on the left.

No trick. No idea who produced that but I expect it says more about their politics if they think Labour are right wing ๐Ÿ˜„

But interesting that all parties you see as left wing are electorally irrelevant in the overall UK context.

Out of interest, what makes the SNP more left wing than Labour?

They're not doing very well on that front, judging by the Runcorn and Helsby by-election result.

Hard to summarise, but outside of the woke agenda (which seems to be bewitching politicians up there), the SNPs are huge government spenders and their philosophy is that the government has a way to pay to help everyone's problems. They are keen on universally free stuff, like university, prescriptions that sort of thing.

These things are free for two reasons; they get more money from the UK budget (most of which is warranted), they raise taxes. those with the broadest shoulders pay more. When it got to ยฃ6k for me more than if I lived anywhere else, it simply meant I could buy a nicer house in England than I could in Scotland, so I left.

I get what you say, but not sure that explains the significant difference between Labour and SNP on the chart.

There's no units on the X axis. For all we know it's really zoomed in and everyone is centrist.

(I don't know either, perhaps buying failing airports and shipbuilders so the nation benefits from empty airports and shoot expensive ships is considered communist level stuff).

TBH, without knowing who prepared the chart and what methodology they used we can't tell. However the fact that they put Labour on the right of the chart would strongly suggest that they are a leftie.
