They have played but the rules.

The Republicans weren't going to give into threats. Soon as the mod terms had passed, then flights were severely delayed, the pressure was always on the democrats. They folded like a soggy stack of cards

The BBB had passed and was going to do what it was designed to

Do you think taxpayers should have a vote on the the "appropriate number of staff" for Mr Windsor?

If we are funding it, yes, otherwise, why would we?,

Ah well, you see because the King is independently rich due to his inheritances and all the money we give him being used to create business income, none of the money we continue to give him is actually necessary for him to fund Andrew with all of the money that has nothing to do with us.

If the money is not "necessary", then, stop giving it to him (the King). I have no sympathy for Andrew, but, he is irrelevant to if we should be giving the King money IMHO

He was sharing with his ex before so I'm sure the pair of them could muddle along. I can see why they aren't going to let him end up in some grotty flat somewhere but him trying to set the terms of his exile is not doing him any favours.

He has plenty of mega wealthy mates with questionable sources of wealth, etc. based overseas. I can't understand why he doesn't go live in one such country, have that untraceable money pay for him. He'd have more freedom, less scrutiny and without the public ire should he not stay hidden from us mere mortals.

I think it's likely he will. There's nothing left for him here but public disdain. He'll probably end up living for free in some guy's pool house in Dubai. Which, with his income, is still a standard of living most of us can only dream of.

Well not a vote maybe but public sentiment should be taken into account. If anything it looks like Charles and William are even keener than the general public to see Andrew binned off to the back of beyond.

Chas'n'Bill are only interested in keeping the family firm going, Bill particularly as he's likely to be around rather longer.

He has no influence nor status to bask in the glow of, which were the only reasons for knowing him.

I know one shouldn't be 'lookist', but it's still a good photo of Mike Graham that the Graun used...

Allow me to offer...

and also this. I'm pretty sure that Mike Chalk is definitely not supposed to be Mike Graham but they were worried about possible legal action...
