Not been able to find a live feed from the Scillies - only Looe, which looks fairly calm. Though Aidan McGivern did warn that it could change in a short space of time, given where the centre of the storm was and how tight the band of silly winds (SWIDT?) would be.

Normal increase for that kind of time of year. I'll grant you that the first early rise was rather earlier than normal, but that was it.
This was Professor Christina Pagel's take in the middle of that December increase, so definitely not hindsight.

I wasnt being serious. I know you have a wind up radio, that you melt snow on the jotul and use a bed pan if it's too cold to go to the out house.
