Also, there's often no bins which seems to be the justification for people leaving litter and dog shite bags but why should Councils or National Parks be spending limited money clearing up the stuff people are happy to take in with them?

As I said upthread, they manage to carry it in. It should be lighter to carry out so there is no excuse, past laziness.
Put a backpack on the dog for its shite bags. 😂

The Dolomites have been seeing the same issues, with Social Media twats destroying crops to get 'THAT' shot and not giving a damn.
A number of the farmers then installed pay gates to access the land to help cover the costs of the ignorant Tw@ts.

I went to take some Milky Way photos in the peace and quiet of the Beacons a year or so back only to find the road side at the reservoir chock full of camper vans all lit up like Christmas trees, music blasting out and the delightful smell of weed.

The other culprit for the increase in this sort of thing is social media. I'm all for people getting out and enjoying the countryside but a lot of them suddenly realise the walk to that Instagram photo spot is actually more of a challenge than they realised and it's far easier to leave behind as much as possible before traipsing back to the car in their flip flops or Crocs.
These days people go to "the countryside" as a tick-box exercise. They don't go to enjoy the countryside but for a selfie or a status symobiol. And failing to even try to understand what "the countryside" is they destroy it.

I see this a lot living rurally and people from towns aspiring to and them moving to "the countryside" and all they do is bring their little bit of toown with them destroying what made the countryside the countryside. eg neighbour moved in from town and before then loads of hedgehogs ... but the "scorched earth" their garden turning it into a close cut lawn and from that day on not seen any hedgehogs. Used to have loads of bats but then somebody moved from town to countryside and feels it's crusical their back garden is floodlit all night and ... no more bats. etc., etc. They turn their "living in country cottage" to be no more than a label having destroyed the countryside bit.

We've seen this as well. My mum and sister live in very rural Worcestershire. New neighbours moved in and decided to raze the hedgerow between my sister's paddock and their garden and then got annoyed when the horses decided the new food in their garden looked interesting. Previously the hedgerow had acted as a substantial fence. Without it, what was left of the fence underneath was not very strong.

They also complained about noise from the cockrel. Of course the cockrel is noisy but their house is in the midst of farmland. All of the houses are former farm buildings.

They had a really lovely country garden but turned it into something from suburbia.

I blame the BBC for producing Escape To The Country, people have a very twee idea of what living 'in the country' is like. The reality is beautiful scenery, less pollution and more peace at the cost of reduced services and infrastructure. People what the benefits without giving up the benefits of urban living.
