Surely investors might start shipping shares in fear of them dropping any further? The investor mantra is: Always sell a stock it if falls 7%-8% below what you paid for them. They are well below a 7-8% drop. If there is panic in the investors...
Meanwhile, other electric car manufacturers will take a chunk of the market. Tesla is proper f*cked.
I mean 'proper f*cked'.

I've no idea how a Tesla investor's mind works. I didn't understand how it got to such a staggeringly high valuation, or why they aren't all baying for Musk's dethronement now, as it's clearly his actions that are precipitating the fall.

I think he'll get voted off the board. At least, that's what should happen if the company is functional.

Longer term I think Tesla will be a battery company. Tesla inside. As it were.

Trump would probably try to declare them criminals if they did that.

I was reading the other day that it is potentially overvalued by a factor of about 3. Toyota's is about six times profit .Tesla's about 20. So there is quite a long way to fall.

Here's hoping.

It's stuff like this that makes me realise that I haven't a clue how all this stuff works. And I sometimes wonder if the people playing the game don't really either, but just go along with it, as sometimes they make money out of it.

I think RC would have appreciated this response to Pat McFadden's claim that cutting spending (specifically disability allowance, I think) was the only was to go.

Where is Big Bean when you need him.

I think he might be here somewhere, under a different Monica.

FTR, I've 'ignored' three posters on this forum: an obvious troll and two people who feed him. Here's the difference between 'What's new' and 'New posts'.

Clever.
It will need a jingly jangly tune to go with it and a sticker on the bumper.

The company was heavily overvalued last year. I suspect to some extent the hype Musk generated around the company through things like the pointless Cybertruck and the so called giga factories, may have clouded the eyes of a large number of investors.
The hype the Nazi saluter generates also appears to make people forget about the Tesla roadster that was never made, but for which the company is sitting on a pile of paid deposits. Or the Tesla semi for which production was supposed to start in 2019, but deliveries didn't start until December 2022. And even now, I believe less than 100 have been delivered in over 2 years.
