This isn't political as it stands, but there's a lot to wonder at and a certain amount of amusement to be had in this story. I'm not going to say anything about the photo.

I heard about that yesterday, and made me somewhat uncomfortable. Isn't it in a sense profiting from the proceeds of crime?

That too. But I noticed the 10/- gun licence issued to what must have been a known criminal, presumably by Met police mates of his. And the photo appealed to my sense of humour.

Had it involved slaughtering a pig too, it would have been perfect for the mothership.

Not really "news" yet but very likely to become news.

Anybody remember the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, specifically the Babel Fish it "invented". When Science Fiction becomes reality:
AirPods Getting Live Translation Feature Later This Year
If an English speaker with AirPods is talking to someone who is speaking Spanish, the ‌iPhone‌ will detect the audio, translate the speech, and relay it back in English to the person wearing AirPods. The person speaking English will then be able to respond and have their response translated to Spanish and spoken aloud by the ‌iPhone‌.

I didn't get past the apostrophe fail in the headline.

I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt as it's from a collection of the Krays' stuff. I think the only way they could have avoided the ambiguity would have been to say "Ronnie Kray's...", as it would have been odd not to specify which one if in the singular, but then it wouldn't have reflected the nature of the collection being from both of them.

The headline could have been 'Miscellaneous Krays' stuff could fetch thousands.'

If they each had a gun licence the headline could have been 'Krays' gun licence s could fetch thousands.'

But it appears there is only one gun licence, so the headline should be 'Kray's gun licence could fetch thousands.'

My question is, did the auctioneers suggest that Buffini dress like a cartoon villain in order to generate more interest, or is that his usual mode of attire?

Jeez, I wonder why there are so many asylum seekers needing to be housed?
