Fun for us to begin with, but imagine the fallout when one of us points out a flaw in a graph from the FT, and he goes on the rampage with a machine gun in a major London station.

Genuinely think something snapped in the NS fallout, though wasn't aware of any news items suggesting a short bald cyclist had gone on a rampage in Cambridge.

Like me, Roland Smith used to read the Telegraph for news and value its espousal of a right wing view.

It is genuinely sad it's now a rabid rag that seems to target people who'd read the Daily Mail or Express but think they are too posh or educated to do so.

Well TBH, there's nothing wrong with having a go a the Mail or Express. Seems ironic that a right wing paper (now rag) apparently is having a go at other right wing rags.
I certainly wasn't jumping up and down in anger with the hypocricy. I find the current right wing press pretty muted now they have a Tory party in the back waters. The only problem with that is perhaps a migration towards UKIP/Reform bile.

Just in time to throw France into chaos and maybe make my return to Devon interesting (there's already been a strike mooted for the very day of my return, but that seems to have gone a bit quiet for the moment.

Maybe the flag-shaggers should actually shag those mini roundabout flags to show their patriotism in a very public fashion.

I have no idea who painted them on. Locally, there appears to be two schools of thought:

a) fans of the Women's Rugby, which is/was being played at Sunderland Stadium of light

b) the racists

Personally, I am not a member of either group, so, although I have observed the daubing, as I pedal or drive around the area, my interest ends there.

They'll need to be careful.

Daubing red paint on publicly maintained infrastructure is classed as terrorism by the government.

Although it depends on what you are protesting against.

Must admit that I've been sorely tempted to add a suitable graphic to the warning sign in Topsham which warns that there's a humped zebra crossing, though I've never even seen a normal one crossing there.

Locally, I have noticed that several "mini roundabouts" (the type which are just a white spot painted on the road), have had a Red, St George Cross painted on them.

Went for a ride earlier and saw the couple of St. George Cross flags attached to the railings on one of the roads going over the M25. Seems to be quite widespread. Or popular?

Alternatively, how about painting roundabouts like this to attract a more sophisticated and intelligent type of flag shagger? 🙂

Came back from my mates along a country lane, England flags all down the side of fields. Lovely to see
