I find that many current adverts are like that, but, oddly, that if anything makes them effective.

I know there are many who like to claim they are immune to advertising, but, the greedy Capitalists would not expend money on advertising, unless they were pretty sure that it was effective.

I fail to see how not noticing who the advert is about makes it effective. They need to draw interest, not ridicule.
