Sky News need a slap in the face. The two, yes *two* Israelis were "killed", while a mere 400 Lebanese people, getting second billing were simply "left dead". I simply don't understand how any news source can justify this.

FWIW, I've emailed a complaint to Sky News about this framing. The more I think about it, the more despicable it seems.

And for the avoidance of doubt, no, I don't pay a Sky subscription either.

Blimey. Central Glasgow, near Central Station, ongoing.

Seems like pretty much the whole section of street has been destroyed, which is very sad as there were some beautiful buildings there.

I hope this was a genuine accident and not some mindless act of vandalism/stupidity.

Started in a vape shop, apparently. Latest reports (BBC) that there are no visible flames now and that Central Station's walls haven't been breached by the fire.

Interesting. Sky news have changed the framing in the headline, even though the web address retains the old framing.

Changing the URL would knacker the metrics for it, and whoever had linked to it.

Quite so - and it was helpful to confirm that it's the same page that they've revised (although without directly admitting it). I'm pretty sure that they've rejigged the main text too, putting the news of the Lebanese casualties before the two Israeli soldiers. I suspect they've (rightly) had a lot of blowback, as the original could almost have been dictated by the IDF.

Yeah, I've noticed quite a lot of revisionism over the last year or so with online articles. It's almost like AI is being used to crank something out quickly with little care or attention, and then modified if anyone notices it's total spaff...
