You don’t have to be into sports. He was a great of Rugby League but has had extensive media coverage for about 7 years now doing his MND fundraising work in memory of his mate Rob Burrow. I’m genuinely staggered anyone not living off grid hasn’t heard of him.

Although he and Rob Burrow were sportsmen what he did was far bigger than just sport. Even my wife knew about what he has done, and she is not exactly a sports fan.
Sometimes I believe there's a bit of snobbishness about lack of interest in the more popular activities. A bit like people who go out of their way to tell you they're vegan. There's no need to do it.
