Sounds like *someone* was promising something that wasn't true.

It's really all they've got now: as Brexit turns to shit, as America turns into a backwards pariah state, as the world burns, all the right wing loons can do is to claim that the non-loon people who now can fairly say "Well, we did try telling you" contributed to or even caused all these catastrophes.

The Government banned controlled burning of heathland last year.
Against all sensible advice (eg Fire chiefs and others).

Rega Planar 2. For which I recently bought a new cartridge and have started listening to vinyl again.
I was well impressed with the two guys in the hifi shop, one of whom may have been the same age as my turntable while the other was less than half its age. They knew that my turntable would have the original non-rega arm and found an appropriate cartridge for it.

I have the original model of the Planar 3 with the mains motor. Currently have 2 Rega arms R200 and RB250 ( with upgraded tungsten counterweight) , both of which don't work correctly . The R200 anti skate belt has snapped the RB250 has an earth hum from hell.

The one I have is the R200, which were made by Acos. The new Ortophon cartridge I fitted this year needs more anti-skate but the belt, like yours, has perished and appear to be a nightmare to replace. I did investigate some of the more ingenious bodges on the interweb but decided to live with it for now.

If they make a successful asylum claim, they can then move on to mainland Spain. Think of it as a processing centre.

It does appear that Spain is discovering what many CCNCAP forumites don't want to hear - that too much unplanned immigration can have negative consequences. Unfortunately this is looking like a taste of things to come.

They will now be worried about all the British people swimming to Spain from Gibraltar.

My Ortofon plays fine with the broken belt but my Goldring skips , but plays fine on the RB250 ( bar the hum )
