I've made no comment about anything Cofnas wrote other than to say he was preceded by a Times journalist investigating the original allegations - a fact which kind of undermines your claim that it's all some recent far right concoction of an issue out of nowhere. I certainly haven't condoned his language, nor called it inoffensive and reasonable. I think the 'there's nothing to it but racism' attitude doesn't do anybody any favours.

Interesting reading the long full text of Cofnas's suspension letter from Ghent. The central part is that he had gone completely off-piste from his contracted role, and was using his position at Ghent (and tarnishing their name) to promote positions which are contrary to their policies.

On my run earlier I got passed on the cycleway by someone riding an e motorbike with a small child (2 or 3 years old) sat in front of him. Neither wearing helmets and whilst I don’t care about morons taking themselves out of the gene pool I would rather they don’t take innocent kids with them even if they do share those genes.

Awful incidents. I just can't fathom why these kids do this. The Middlesbrough ones were repeat offenders apparently. I don't know what the answer is. They goad the police to pursue them, but if they don't pursue them they do it anyway.
