...among people who do the weekly shop at M&S test - but no other supermarket apart from Sainsburys, by the look of it.

I'm most suprised by the big difference between Lidl and Aldi - I've always thought of them as basically interchangeable.

Surprised at Waitrose.

I'm not actually, as if my observations about the posher areas of Exeter are right, they are more likely to be Waitrose shoppers and turned away from the Tories (to Labour, in the case of Topsham) at revulsion at their little-Englander isolationism, being populated by more highly-educated academic and professional types (and the odd trumpeter).

tl;dr Topsham is posh, and mostly dumped its Tory councillors for Labour ones, which surprised even me.
