I expect there are some stats somewhere, that break down the numbers to give a more accurate picture, of representation.

It's hardly representative of society is it?

Huge amounts of money go into adverts, and every detail is carefully thought out. The actors used will have been picked because they will best sell the products. Considering that 20% of the UK population is minority ethic groups, probably at least 10% are gay/lesbian, and quite a lot are ginger, the adverts are probably still disproportionately white/straight if anything. In any case, why would this bother you?

Because these people do exist in society and are generally ignored.

I think there are way more important issues to get worked up about though.

You tell me, I doubt the 'ethnic majority' in Leicester for example, are White.

White British are by some margin the largest group in Leicester - about 45%. Next up Indian around 28%.

The city itself is relatively compact with much of its suburban sprawl in other authorities such as Blaby etc.

I'm no mathematician but 45% is under half so irrespective of what the rest are White British are a minority?
