Not just teenagers:
In my 20s I was rather enamoured of a lass who sported "the Lois" hairstyle. We've been married over 20 years now, and counting! She has a different hairstyle now, but that's okay; I look less like Clark than ever.

Not that I credit DC Comics with any matchmaking, but I don't see a problem with the new bi relationship. Love exists everywhere, in many forms. The Dinosaurs seem agitated though. Bless.

“They are literally forcing it down our throats.” ^_^

It was only a matter of time before the conversation turned to a black James Bond or a female Doctor Who.

But can't at the same time come out with nearly so much blatant homophobia as was pretty 'the norm' in my childhood, marks progress of a sort..

But hey ho, progress isn't linear, there will often be push back.

"I mean, I don't really mind the queers and the gays, existing, but do they have to be so goddam obvious, and comfortable with themselves, and have to be so visible in msm .??

I too as a (pretty much) heterosexual woman feel like an endangered species as well.

Oh no - hang on a minute I don't, at all ..

Men. They’re all the same.

Well you know how it is.

All the square jaws, chiselled cheekbones, washboard abs, and pumped up biceps, start to look the same.

So hard to differentiate

At last a thread I can reply to.

Why does almost every show/advert need to have gay/lesbian, Black, Ginger, mixed race couples or disabled people in them nowadays?

It's hardly representative of society is it?

It is representative of many parts of society.
And many parts of society that have hitherto been ignored.

It's what my world looks like, for instance.

Plus it promotes diversity, and inclusion.

The fact that you've still apparently got a bit of a problem with it, maybe shows we aren't all quite as tolerant and inclusive as we need to be in a modern society.??

It's not representing society, it's ensuring that everyone in society is represented. You need to disproportionately depict minorities in order for them to be properly represented across the full range of roles, characters and opportunities.
