Can't say I blame them. Whatever it is Musk is playing at via Trump is a dangerous game.
With most companies the CEO acts to further the interests of the company and should a CEO's (or any director's) personal or non-company activities start even risking the company business then they'd be out.

So while that gung-ho AI bravado is all well and good, and I'm sure makes MAGA types feel wonderful, it's not like either country is suddenly going to regress to the dark ages.
There will come a point when Trump is actually held to account over all this early doors d!ck swinging and be found out himself. Not that he'll care, because he'll just ramble his way through some absolute nonsense about how he was right and everyone else was wrong.

Mexico and Canada are needlessly picking a fight with a major trading partner
and the USA is innocently just sitting there being picked on so Trump The Magnificent will be forced - however unwillingly - to respond to this aggression
and he has the weapons to do it
