Not sure I understand the above, but, if the "joke" is broadcast widely on Social Media (which is where I saw) it, I would gamble that a high proportion of those seeing it, would not know who the "Canadian political activist" is (I don't).

I at first assumed it was the. rather obvious point that everyone in North America, except the Native Americans, were, could be classified as immigrants. However, an alternative interpretation is that if the Native Americans had resisted immigration more forcefully, then, perhaps, there would be fewer immigrants (ie people of none Native American heritage) in North America 🙂
