The problem with wrecking balls is ...that they wreck! I have little doubt the NHS could not be improved but the idea that it needs to be wrecked first is nonsensical and dangerous tosh that would cost lives for years.

But then this is from Piers Morgan, who has been struggling for relevance...and an audience, for years. Nuff said.

It's pretty much a condemned project.

Clear it out, start a fresh.

Faster, cheaper

Needs a bold leader with big hairy balls 👍

'and make it work properly again'

I think @CXRAndy might have missed that bit.
Let's see how Musk goes in the US shall we? Not much we can do about that.
Maybe folks like Picasso need to destroy before they can create, I'm not sure it's such a good idea with the NHS

Picasso didn't destroy anything.
I reckon the bike would have been unusable, even if it wasn't actually destroyed.

But want they do have is excellent computing skills for sifting through the data.

I understand they're working super long hours per week trawling through massive amounts of information

I am sure their IT skills will let them know the price of everything...but the value of nothing.

I think you might find their IT skillz aren't all that deep.
Trawling databases is very straight forward stuff. Anybody scraping a 3rd class Computer Science degree can do it although to people who don't know eg SQL they'll be blibding them with buzzwords making out they are the only people smart enough in the western world ...).

The difficult bit is knowing the detailed tax laws and fraudulent practices and then seeking out indications from the data. Most people committing fraud worth going after are stretching laws and allowances (beyond breaking point) so to work out if something is fraud or illegal you have to know those laws in great detail and IT specialists don't.

There are more than just IT geeks in the DOGE department. Id bet they have on tap experts in fraud and tax if they aren't already within DOGE
