The "banana boat" saying is/was widely used on Tyneside, but, merely to mean a bit dim or unsophisticated, not with any racial overtones that I am aware of, unless of course, I have just got off a banana boat 😂

While Schumer is playing nice and trying to sell his book, AOC and Sanders are starting to look as if anyone is capable of motivating a mass movement, they are. Have to admit Sanders' passion, clarity and energy are extraordinary for an 83-year old.
