Paul Dans, the 'architect' of Project 2025, is given a page "By Invitation" in The Economist last week.
This is perhaps the most egregious bit of complete bollocks in his piece -
...America's constitution envisions three branches of government: legislative, executive and judicial. FDR created a fourth, the administrative state. The constitution provides "[T]he executive Power shall be vested in a President." The investiture is exclusive to the president, not reposited in a committee of presidents, nor an agency "independent" of presidential control. The buck is supposed to stop on the president's desk. An agency independent of the president is one independent of the people - that is, unaccountable. That's not democracy...

I read that as;

We elected people male the laws and decisions as we like.
You admin bods have to implement them, unless we change our minds in which case you are fired!

The only way they can justify it is by misrepresenting the Constitution, and hoping that the Supreme Court let them get away with it, as they "grab it by the pussy".

That's fine, because it's also not in the co situation, so the President can do what he wants to anything "administrative" and it can't be definition be unconstitutional.

Honestly, this isn't too far from the sort of legal reasoning people use to ignore council tax or claim Berwick is still at war with Russia.

Beat me to it. Is the US going to become a Christian theocracy? Or are Jews, Buddists, Hindus and Jedis still considered to be compatible?

To be fair she said Judeo Christian so presumably Jews are considered OK for now.

I assume that Hindus, Seihks etc. are lumped in with Muslims in this particular scenario for her though.

It's basically white and non white isn't it? I mean I know there are a lot of black Christians, but they can go to their own churches, right?

A quote from Steve Bannon -
“People in Israel gotta understand something: The number one enemy to the people in Israel are American Jews that do not support Israel and do not support MAGA,” Bannon said in a weekend interview. “Okay? MAGA” — short for “Make America Great Again,” Trump’s long-standing campaign slogan — “and the evangelical Christians and the traditional Catholics in this country have Israel’s back. They have the Jews’ back. The single biggest enemy to the Jewish people are not the Islamic supremacists. The biggest enemy you have is inside the wire: progressive Jewish billionaires that are funding all this stuff.”

It’s an “interesting” opinion (much like Truss’s views on the economy are “interesting”).
