Is that your only take from this?

79bn pounds has gone into shareholders pockets, no new reservoirs have been commissioned since 1989 and 2.4bn litres of fresh water is lost due to leaks due to lack of investment as all the money's going to shareholders.

But, sure, troll a thread (again) so you can try (and fail again) to divert attention away from the failings of your beloved Tory Party.
In fairness they have been topping up rivers with raw sewage, so they're at least trying something.

That's it, it's official!

Ever since we took the decision to move south-west from the deserts of east Kent, I have been priming Wimpers for rain. Even investing in a super-dooper Paramo waterproof for her dog walking. Here we are living in a tinder-box. Construction continues on the last few houses and everything is covered with fine dust inside and out. Much of the recently laid turf is pushing-up daises....

35C here, one mindlessly discarded ciggy-butt and it could all be over....

Oh dear, life must be so unbearable.

Climate activists in south-eastern France have filled golf course holes with cement to protest against the exemption of golf greens from water bans amid the country's severe drought.
The group targeted sites near the city of Toulouse, calling golf the "leisure industry of the most privileged".
The exemption of golf greens has sparked controversy as 100 French villages are short of drinking water.

Exactly the same in 1976. Bradford Golf Club had its greens thoroughly watered every day.

And it seems we have still not learned....
RFU saying that in many areas they will either delay the season for the amateur game or play tag Ruby as the grounds are too hard for the full contact game.

The French do have a knack for actually doing something don’t they? Must be the ripples from the Revolution ;)

It's really worrying

Irrigation is on constantly, on something or other at the farm 24/7.

Lucky to have a well supplied borehole, ..
Not a luxury available to everyone.

But it's still not enough..

Yields are down, and they will be everywhere.

Our French Miller says the wheat is so hard from some regions around Paris, that it's heating the mill rollers and the flour is coming-out beige as it's slightly cooked, so they have stopped using it....

No info. from our UK Miller yet, but suspect as most of it is from Lincolnshire and thereabouts, less hard than southern wheats hopefully.
