This isn't the AI thread, but if you ask a leading question, then that's the answer you will get e.g. Why was the UK the big winner from the FTAs?

Not a leading question.

And here's Copilot with the same question.

The ability of the UK to negotiate bespoke trade deals is a Brexit benefit, it has come at a cost of more friction when trading with the EU.
The UK economy is somewhat smaller than that of the EU hence we will be in a worse position negotiating trade deals eg we have a much smaller market to offer to open to those we seek deals with. Hence UK deals are unlikely to achieve those of the EU.

I thought I'd ask the corresponding question. Turns out AI just gives the answer you seek. AI fails.

I don't think this theory has been supported in practice e.g. all existing deals except Canada were just rolled over and many of those have since been improved.

"Benefits" of Brexit really being highlighted to me this week. I ordered some more specialist bike parts from Germany (nobody in UK sells them) but just "bike parts", small box and they arrived in "Customs clearance in progress Destination country/region: United Kingdom" 07:00 (am) on Monday and still stuck there awaiting customs clearance!

No wonder importers/exporters are suffering so badly.

(I may have some VAT to pay but Royal Mail still waiting on Customs before they can tell me if/how much).

Not sure that I'd class this as one of the series of 'small technical improvements' I thought that Labour would make to ease the UK back to somewhere sensible.
