In any case, the UK failed to send anyone there, so you could really call it a glorified scheme designed to be a bit off putting.

Any desription of the UK scheme which doesn't make clear that even succesful asylum applicants will have been deported to Rwanda by default is, imho, a lie.

That the scheme was never operational changes that not a jot.

My apologies that this bit wasn't clear enough for you and amounted to deception "The UK wanted to send all applicants there".

You are correct. The UK wanted to send all applicants there.

That's the key difference in the scheme

When the EU sends FAILED applicants there they will not return either, so the only difference is in the status of their application. All of this was in my original post, but I neglected to highlight the word failed.
