I suppose she's got nothing to lose. Conservatives are not going to put her in the House of Lords, Johnson not returning to run the Conservatives so her future is ever more obscurity. This move gives her some column inches. No doubt the BBC will be seeking her out for interviews, maybe she'll get a few Question Time appearances, etc. vs sitting at home feeling the world is ignoring her.

Like poor Kemi.

Kemi is in a great position. When you've driven the party to the bottom, the only way is up. She'd really be struggling to make things much worse for the Conservatives from where she's taken them - but I'm sure she'll try.

Maybe just like people hypothesise that Trump is an agent for Putin, maybe Ms Badenoch is an undercover operative for Labour?

I wonder if she has done this as a sort of preliminary to Boris moving over to Reform

Not that Boris would move unless he will be in charge
so it would mean Nigel moving over - which would require a shotgun or something similar in terms of cock ups

but never say never

after all - Boris has been on out most successful MPs ever
(of course "ever" here is defined as a pretty short period of time in a specific time span)
