Only the dimmest amongst us would think that feminists wouldn't be against all male violence in women's prisons, whether it came from male staff or male prisoners placed there.

As usual, you struggle with the idea that women can think about 2 things at once or that people are allowed to advocate for their specific areas of interest. Women are not obliged to solve the world's problems in the specific order that you demand.

What? You care about women's safety in prisons, yes?

That safety isn't improved by adding male prisoners to an institution that is already, according to your link, staffed in part by unsafe males.

Hardly. I'd be surprised if most of the huge population of China subscribed to the theory of the existence of gender identity, though of course it's you making the assertion so it's you who needs to provide your evidence that 600 million Chinese women are only women if they think they are.

Boxers getting twisted again love?

Here's the facts though Aurora. About 99% of us, live in countries that voluntarily are member states of the United Nations; that includes China.

China is proven guilty of certain human rights abuses for which they are criticized by the UN. Likewise the UK. The UK is being criticized on a range of human rights abuses, including trans rights.

Here's a bit of text from the UN ...

The United Nations represents the self-determined gender of about 99% of women in the world. Accordingly, through its voluntary membership of the UN, the UK has the obligation to ensure that those women, and everybody else has the right to self-determination of their gender identity.

You see the world order is rather bigger than the self-important egotistical nonsense uttering of the members of TERF island.

You probably still think it's all the work of dangerous criminal trans activists, right? The United Nations are extremist adjacent conspirators against the rights of women and girls?

Again, you seem to think this is an insult. Either sex can wear boxers. I don't personally but then I can wear whatever grundies I like because I don't feel the need to advertise my self perception to the world by adopting the stereotypical dress of a particular sex. It must be tiresome having to look at yourself constantly to ensure you are looking like you think a man or a woman should look.

Which has nothing, I mean zero, to do with whether anybody in China or anyone else believes in the concept of gender identity. Just because the UN does it doesn't mean the population of it's member countries do, or must.

Every day I continue to see memes about women prisoners in the UK being forced to share showers with rapists.

The thing is, it just isn't true. It's a lie. It needs to stop because it is dangerous propaganda that is harming people innocent of crime.

The people who post this shite are the extremists.

It's not an insult. Since you need it explaining, I'll tell you exactly what it is. It's 'othering'. I'm intentionally 'othering' you because this is what you do; you turn up here and 'other' people multiple times each day. And you think that's fine and justifiable. When you are subjected to the same treatment you find it insulting. Is there a reason that I should stop?

The UN have no control over how people think though ...

Exactly why they say that self-determination of gender identity is necessary. They are not controlling how people think, they are doing the opposite - making it a right to think about yourself and express it as you choose.

You on the other hand wish to deny people the right to self-determination because you think you know best, even when you know very little.

Do you actually know anything about the way the world works?

China is one of the members of the United Nations and is one of five permanent members of its Security Council. One of the victorious Allies of World War II (the Chinese theatre of which was the Second Sino-Japanese War), the Republic of China (ROC) joined the UN upon its founding in 1945.

You said that "Without a sense of gender identity you are neither man or woman"... but when I tell you that most of the world, including 600 million women in China, won't have heard of gender identity you start banging on about the UN recognising it and China being in the UN.

The UN recognising the concept of gender identity is irrelevant to whether people believe it or not. By your words all those hundreds of millions of women aren't women because they don't recognise gender identity as a thing, nevermind have a sense of which of the 200 genders they are .... that's just ridiculous.

You accuse Chinese women of ignorance while demonstrating your own ignorance of human rights in the international order - you really are too much.

Not just women. I doubt most of the male population of China, or Africa either, are aware of the concept of gender identity. I bet they don't say their kids were assigned at birth either. There'll be lots of metaphysical beliefs they haven't heard of. I wouldn't call it ignorance.
