I don't think the UK keeps public data on how many prison officers assault prisoners. It would be very unusual if the universal trend that men are generally more violent that women wasn't replicated amongst the prison officer population though. It would require prison officers to be completely different from the rest of the public. We know that's not the case with male police officers so it's unlikely male prison officers would be any different.

It's pointless because whatever official statistics people can be arsed to go dig up on the subject, we then go into the realms of making stuff up such as prisoners might not be reporting assaults due to fear and pride or whatever. Waste of time really.

True, though the difference between male and female violent offending in the stats that we do have is so consistently large, across decades and countries, that the 'Women are just as bad argument' is ridiculous. As is the 'Some groups of men are different' argument.

There's plenty of slippage between the two terms on both sides of the debate.
The obvious one being changing sex on a birth certificate.

Ok you'll say that's legal sex not biological.
But room for confusion. And that's before we do the sex as binary debate.

But then there are so many people with comorbid condition who are not trans, so where is the point? Are you saying that anyone with any comorbid conditions should not be left to live their best life, or only trans people should be stopped?
