If that's true, why don't these 'extreme right wing.... fascist thugs' who follow KJK turn up to confront the trans activists at the Let Women Speak events? You'd think they'd be keen to help her out and be spoiling for a fight.

Maybe they didn't get the invitation for that one?

I doubt they would need an invite.

They didn't get an invitation to the one in Australia. They admitted it afterwards and were rather scathing about KJK platforming lesbians as I recall.

In fact, Victoria's Liberal leader was sued for suggesting what you and others are suggesting on here. He recently apologised and paid legal fees.

Come to think of it, why don't the men in the black masks ever turn up at actual right wing events? Can't think why these lads are so numerous, abusive, and intimidating at small events where they disagree with women but so shy when large groups of men gather.

In your photo there are 5 people dressed in black. You are assuming they are men. I guess with your special X ray Terfovision you can see through their clothes and are able to distinguish their genitalia. You are Genital Inspector in Chief, after all.

And they are just standing there. Holding flags. Not shouting. Maybe their mere presence is "abusive".

That's not shouting or being abusive though. It's a fairly standard response chant to a pathetic gathering which has been out-numbered by a counter gathering.

And seriously, if anyone's actually threatened by that they need to get in line at the back of the snowflake queue behind the rest of the silent majority.

Did you look at any of the other videos under that #? Do you think those demonstrators would have stayed back if there weren't 3 vans of police holding them?

Outnumbered or not, I think 15/20 women would very much feel threatened by a group of mainly men like this, and the masked up ones in black, especially when they followed them down the streets as they left the meeting.

I don't think women who are scared and intimidated when men shout abuse in their face are snowflakes.

There's no way anyone can know the answer to that. But given my own experiences of protests (in general, not just about this), unless there's a properly inflammatory moment people behave themselves.

As noted above, you've no way of knowing the gender of the masked up folk. As it stands it looks like a totally peaceful affair which hasn't riled or upset anyone.

My snowflake comment was entirely tongue in cheek, possibly wasn't clear enough with that.

A large group of mostly men, many in masks, following women down the street shouting 'Nazi scum' in their faces until the police pushed the women into a shop for their own safety until more cops could be summoned, isn't a 'totally peaceful affair'.

How can you honestly say women weren't 'riled or upset' by all that?

It's no wonder you don't really get why women need single sex spaces and services. Today your threshold of what women should accept before complaining hasn't been been met by either a male rugby player on the Women's team or intimidating groups of abusive men. It'll never be met will it?

The fact that you think the transactivists spent the day standing quietly holding flags shows that as usual you haven't done your research.

They are singing, you absolute melt

I totally get why women need single sex spaces. We've been here before and have differing opinions which is fine.

Do I agree with the rugby player? No.

Do I think from what I've seen that protest was intimidating? No.

Do I have a threshold? Yes.

That is so utterly disingenuous.

Disregarding for a moment my view on vociferous protest, those trans rights people are not directing their feelings towards random women. They are directing them towards people who are members of a small pressure group, that in no way represents the views of 'women', who are doing all they can to stir up hatred towards trans people. This pressure group has a strange affinity to and for the far right, and it's leader is a known islamobhobe.

And yet here you are, time and time again, defending them.

After the event, the lads in black and masks followed a group of women through the streets, eventually trapping them in a shop until the police finally turned up to escort them to safety.
Which version of events is true?
Your second or your first version, they can't both be true. As they differ slightly in what happened.

Where were you in that crowd.

I will always defend the rights of people to meet in public, within the law, to talk about whatever they like, within the law.

What you support is the Heckler's Veto and it's been used to intimidate women for aeons.

You actually have no idea what the women in Brighton spoke about, and it wouldn't matter anyway.

The police pushed them into a shop where they were trapped until further officers arrived. Does that help at all?

I wasn't there. I guess you had to miss it too as it would have clashed with visiting day for Barbie Khardashian at Limerick jail. Save the black balaclava for next time, Classic.
