What has her daughter got to do with Hale's opinions?

Are those the only criteria for judging who is allowed an opinion? Do you qualify on those grounds?

We are being instructed to forget our freedoms, since those with paranoia instead require the state to give them absolute protection from an almost non-existent risk of harm.

Are Jeska or Stewart actually mixing, even socially and at meal times, with female prisoners?

Yes they are. Mixing in the showers in Stewart's case apparently.

Sex is biological; the vast majority of us clearly have, at birth, either male or female plumbing.
I believe that for practical purposes you can change your sex, ie how you look and present via hormones and/or surgery.
How can it be changed if it's biological? If it's how you look it's not biological sex. It's secondary characteristics.

If you believe that your beliefs about this should allow males access to women's spaces - which you seem to - then it's you who is imposing your beliefs on women, to their detriment.

Those with activists in the family or trans identifying children - eg Jolyon Maugham - seem to abandon logic on these issues. Lady Hale knew what sex was when she received accolades for being the first woman judge.

It's not a criteria but it's often an influence.

Attacking the person rather than addressing their opinions doesn't add any credibility to your position.

Your link does not provide evidence of mixing in the showers. It provides evidence of the rumour that Stewart and Fee were going there to have sex- not that others were present.

Personally I wouldn't want to be in the showers when Sutherley, Stewart or Fee were in there - all killers. If somebody is going to stab me with scissors in the shower, what's between their legs would not foremost in my mind.

If you met N and me in the shower and somebody told you one of us is trans, your attention would be all on me. I have no doubt about that. Her body is a more female shape than mine, she is shorter with smaller hands and feet. I have a more prominent Adam's apple.

After you'd complained, and let's be in no doubt that you would, I would be the one asked to produce a birth certificate, a document that I never carry, and a document made worthless by the Supreme Court's judgment.

Of the two of us, the one more likely to give you a fat lip is me.

I don't doubt for a minute that you'd assault someone.

Attacking the person rather than addressing their opinions doesn't add any credibility to your position.

I've addressed her opinions. They are the luxury beliefs of a rich woman, completely isolated from most of the problems that your insistence that men can be women has created, likely influenced by having an activist daughter. I can guarantee that when Lady Hale needs a check up she knows there is such a thing as biological sex because she will go for a smear test not a prostate exam.

You're a bit late to be tone policing the forum. You didn't have much to say when your fellow believers spent a year calling me a c*nt and a tw*t. You don't seem to think that undermined their position too much.

I don't doubt that you need to learn to read, because I never said that I would. So shut up you utter twat.

Doesn't take much for the mask to drop.
One minute you're liking Ian H's post about not attacking the person, then you're calling me a tw*t. Cue the 'Look what you made me do..' defence.

Humor detection skills registering at nil. I shouldn't have been surprised.

Lady Hale's daughter is a trans activist who thinks that there aren't enough men counting as women on company boards. Lady Hale wonders why everywhere can't be mixed sex like the lovely toilets at her posh literary festival. Which also had single sex ones btw.

She and her daughter will never find themselves sharing a prison or domestic violence refuge with a male, sitting next to one in a rape support meeting, or changing next to a man at a council leisure centre.

The luxury beliefs of wo women, drowning in privilege, lamenting the plight of men, and pleading for some sensible middle ground that was rejected by trans activists years ago. She might as well have said 'Let them eat cake'.

Edit: Let's not forget that Lady Hale argued in the House of Lords in 2004 that a trans identifying male would-be police officer should be allowed to strip search women because he had made the effort to look feminine.

This policy was enacted by some forces but fortunately The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) guidance this week does away with that.

Isn't that exactly what one group of people you've said were right did. With one fleeing the country rather than face the justice system, and prison?

I'm merely responding to your comments on my post, and not on the tone but the content ("luxury beliefs of a rich woman").

You presented her opinion as somehow more worthy of consideration than the opinion of the bloke sitting opposite me in the cafe. Others present evidence that her opinion might not be value free. You get a bit snotty about it.
The debate progresses?

I presented her opinion. Whose opinion is value-free?
