They voted earlier this year to keep the movement women(Their choice of wording) only with regards leaders.

That's why I initially said it would be interesting to see how they impose the ban...

If they want to exclude men - which they do - they have to exclude all men. They could change to a mixed sex organisation but if they say 'women only' it has to be women only or risk breaching the Equality Act. The WI is a classic example of institutional capture whereby a few individuals can change the direction of an organisation based on their personal beliefs. They changed their policy in 2015 without consulting members and as far as I know haven't consulted them since, other than the CEO saying the women she speaks to don't mind.

I wish news outlets would report accurately. Trans people aren't excluded. Men are excluded.
