Cool. So that'll knacker the unisex changing rooms and toilets I take my daughter to which have never been a problem.

Not a problem for you, and not a problem for her when you're with her...... but otherwise it is a problem. The answer is single sex provision and additional mixed sex provision for families or others who don't want to use the facilities dedicated to their sex.

Mixed sex facilities are more likely to attract predators because obviously they give access that single sex services deny.

When was the last time you were in a mixed sex changing facility?

Took my daughter to see Laufey at the O2 a few days ago. She discovered that they had a gender neutral toilet which was very handy as instead of joining the queues for the ladies, she and a few other savvy women could just walk in to a nice clean toilet that no-one was really using. The men didn't need to use it and the women were happy using it.

When they refurbed the Men's changing room for swimming at my local leisure centre a few years ago. They made the Women's into a unisex changing room for a fortnight. Guess what? The women who had to change their little girls for swimming lessons weren't happy about it. There were half a dozen cubicles and the rest was benches and hooks.

Was this an open toilet area with cubicles? Or a enclosed single use unisex one, like a disabled toilet? Very different from a unisex general toilet.

Either way these are mixed sex toilets in addition to single sex ones aren't they? But in effect just women using it? Sounds fine. Plenty of choice. Would you have been happy with her using a traditional open toilet area with cubicles but you'd seen only men going in there and no women?
