To be fair he didn't say that. The sex realist position is not "extreme".
The claim was that TERF is anti-trans per se, although the anti-trans is in quotes so maybe not. Language can be a bit slippery and we don't want to be inflammatory on this thread, do we.On the TERF side or "anti-trans" side there tend to be extremists whose position is that trans doesn't exist.
Nope. I think you may have missed my point which was to illustrate the extremism on both sides.
To be fair he didn't say that.
Also I don't really understand why people are confused by the term TERF.
It literally stands for "Trans Exclusive Radical Feminist".
Maybe a compromise would be to stop calling things an "ideology" or being quick to ridicule people for different ways of thinking?
Ideology is a political belief.
Narrowly defined, perhaps.
How about this?
'In simple words, an ideology is a set of shared beliefs, ideas, and values that form a worldview, guiding how a group or person understands the world and what they think should be done about it, often in politics, religion, or culture (like capitalism, socialism, or conservatism). It's a blueprint for life, explaining how society works and how to make it better, influencing goals, expectations, and actions'.
So, from that, you probably wouldn't call sexual orientation an ideology.
Explain your point instead of trying to score one and we'll make a bit more progress.

What is it if not an ideology @AndyRM? Genuine question. What is a 'different way of thinking' other than an ideology?
Genuine question in the interest of debate.
