Is Keir in tune with his supporters?, seems to be a failing of both leaders, which may explain Greens, Reform.

Starmer is disliked/hated by the people who didn't think that Labour would ape Reform on its immigration policy, both in content and tone. They'd have lost far fewer voters if they'd admitted it's really hard and they regretted having to take hard-nosed measures. They'd probably have lost even fewer voters if instead of copying reform, they tried to educate the electorate on the economic and moral reasons why immigration has been and will be beneficial to the UK, if properly managed.

Yeah, yeah, but, is he (Keir) in touch with his supporters/electorate, a simple yes/no will suffice. I mean “in touch” generally, not just about Trumps illegal war.

I don't think that's why they are unpopular. In think they are unpopular because they didn't wave a magic wand and make it 2006 again.

On balance, the suspicion is no, because of his alliance with McSweeney, Glasman and Blue Labour, even if his government have done quite a lot of sensible & progressive things (which have got overshadowed by the Blue Labour/immigration stuff).

He generally seems competent on the world stage (despite the Trump brown-nosing), much less so domestically.

Anyway, looks like the Kurds aren't going to fight for Trump.

Well the yanks did hang them out to dry at the end of the Iraq war. Use them then loose 'em.

I think Starmer has done a few good things but he's terrible at communicating so it gets drowned out by our lovely right leaning press/media.

I think the right wing gun toting buttholes are getting drowned out this time.

Fromage is conspicuously quiet and only Kemi Badjudgement has been gormless enough to stick her neck out of the train window and declare herself satisfied that someone planned ahead by cutting back all of the trees.

It is fair to say that he is a disappointment at home (sliding scale to preference) but he has been a success internationally.
He has nailed it on Iran though but can't control the right leaning press/media. That graph shows that people see through the press/media.

Word is he doesn’t approve of the war and wishes to distance himself so as not to be detrimental to future prospects when it all goes tits up.

The glaring, unmoveable problem is that MAGA's don't like him (and his eyeliner). Fuentes has openly said he'd rather vote Democrat than Vance. Now, that's a helluva thing.

And on that note, the far right influencer went further recently:

'GOP must be purged and burned to ground': Former Trump supporter Nick Fuentes vows to vote Democrat, slams Republican promises
