To me daft. Clearly Israel trying to get the UK to get involved in their war.

To mind, if Iran wanted to attack the UK they'd use terrorist cells. Cheaper, and probably a lot more effective. Even if their missiles could manage such a range (something only Israel seems to think possible) they'd be intercepted on the way here. But undoubtedly Iran already has Republican Guard operatives in the UK.

Err Diego Garcia is further from Tehran than London...............................

Firing something in the direction of somewhere does not mean it can reach its targhet, nor that even if it could it has adequate targeting to hit anything.

Similarly, one way to make missiles travel further is to reduce their payload ...

Also, long range missiles are easier to acquire target on. Pick a spot over open water and jobs a good 'un.

Apparently there are also questions about "flase flag" missiles. Raised on reputable podcasts but as apparently they can't trace the launch source of the missiles it's all supposition.
