NATO is a defence alliance. Trûmp's war is not defensive do is not applicable to NATO.

NATO is not just part of the US military.

Exactly & when the big orange cheese puff buffoon wanted to take Greenland Denmark had troops ready. Treat your mates like shoot & they won’t be willing to help in any case.

He still does.
Most people with any sort of thought processes would have asked themselves "why aren't they helping me ...?" and in less than 3 seconds they'd have appreciated "maybe they don't like being personally insulted, or their country insulted or their capabilities insulted ..." and have adjusted their behaviour ...

You answered that in the first 8 words.

This will be of some condolences to those dying tonight. 😡

"A State Department official says they can confirm that the department will host a meeting next week to discuss ongoing ceasefire negotiations with Israel and Lebanon."

I'm confused. Yet again.
If oil & gas shipments do not flow freely through the Strait then the US will bomb the hell out of the infrastructure providing the oil & gas. 🤔

Has anyone heard anything about the pilot they rescued?
It’s all very suspiciously quiet. You’d expect them to be showing footage and interviews with the family. I’ve heard nothing.

Would you want it known that you are happy to bomb civilians? My suspicion is that he is being kept anonymous for security,

The rescue mission was pretty botched apparently. In the process of rescuing the pilot, there were helicopters left behind and it took an enormous effort to get the pilot out and over 750 personnel.

They sent the smaller helicopters from Kuwait but their limited fuel capacity meant limited flight time. Having exceeded the flight times as they failed to locate the pilot in the time they thought they would, they ran out of fuel and had to be abandoned.

The 'injured' pilot walked 5 miles and 7000 feet to the top of a mountain to get a good signal on his phone so he was dehydrated and exhausted by the time they got to him. Apparently.
It's all a bit incredulous and given this administrations penchant for spin and lies plus the fact that none of this conflict can be classed as successful, one wonders if it was a PR stunt or there was a different motive for the fighter jets being in that area in the first place - near apparent Uranium enrichment facilities [WMD anyone?] and this is a bit of a cover up, a distraction. The speculation is that this was a recce gone wrong and that the Americans thought that they could actually send in some troops and physically take the enriched Uranium. It's all a bit Marvel comics.
[This ^ all from various news sources including a retired air force general interviewed on MS Now].

It's more than possible he was rescued pretty quickly but it's also more than possible that they do not want to put him in front of the press in case he contradicts the story. You would think the ultimate PR was to hold him up like a trophy in front of the world's press.

As usual, it's all a bit equivocal.

Funny how the biggest military in the world can't organise this particular p$$ up.
Perhaps they have failed because they never really had a proper plan beyond bully boy tactics.

Trump thinks he could have a side hustle in oil tolls (in his imaginary world filled with young girls dancing in ball rooms).
With stable leadership and clear goals this war would have looked differently, it's not the command structure in the field, planes or boats that are the problem it's the idiots in the top. (like hegseth for example) the way how they extracted those F15 pilots clearly shows that.
