Hamas opened a healing wound. In fact they went on opening the patient and removing vital organs.

You cannot in any way blame Israel for their response. They have had enough and Hamas broke the camels back with their attack on Israeli citizens, kidnapping, murder, rape, beheading of children.

What has happened is totally justified. Israel will not stop until they have destroyed Hamas to the point that they surrender, release all the remaining hostages.

It's full blown war since October 7th 2023-however distasteful anyone thinks

That's quite an heroic defence of the indefensible, for which you deserve some kind of recognition.

But seriously, you think that Israel's response is alright? And justified? Or that peace was on the horizon before October 7?

What Israel is doing will not destroy Hamas, all that's happening is the creation of a new generation of seriously hacked off people who will be even more committed to their hatred of Israel.

I cannot think of a point in this latest conflict where I've thought "You know what? Fair enough." about either side, but what Israel is doing is trying to destroy a group of people and a region with the flimsiest of justifications. They're cowards too, and wouldn't be doing this if the international community wasn't supporting them, either by their silence or with arms and money.

But hey, as long as they've got their nice beach view houses, everything's cool.

If you think that a population existing for years under a sea and air blockade, with other points of entry severely numbered and controlled by other countries, is a healing wound and not a festering tumour, you need to reframe your view of the world.

The Abraham accord was setting the framework for lasting peace. However Iran is/has been stoking/ financing/arming the radicals in many regional countries. Deal with Iran and there could be a chance of lasting peace.

The palestinian people have let billions be squandered on military/tunnelling/fraud by hamas, when they could have created something fantastic with all that money

At some point they will to own up to this and want to create a society to work and live beside Israel.

What could they have created? An Iron Dome or something?

Your faith in the Abraham Accords is touching. It had nothing to do with a peace process of course, but you have clearly deluded yourself otherwise.

You can either go through life always being a victim, blame everyone and everything on your own inability to get on in life.

Far too much of that these days

They aim* to avoid that by completely wiping out the next generation. That's why they're killing kids.

*Not speculation. I can't find the source right now but it has been stated.

Imagine trying to justify the brutal killing of 13,000 children just to get attention on a minor cycling forum.

The mind boggles.

The Met police seem to be doing their job properly now. Anti hamas protestors allowed to protest alongside the pro hamas group.

Seems to be a bit of tension from pro hamas supporters
