TVE, the Spanish public broadcaster, to review the public vote mechanism after suspected manipulation.

Polling shows that in general the state of israel is not particularly popular in Spain, making the euro vision vote results strange to say the least.

Phone votes are easily manipulated if you have the will and allowing people to vote up to 20 times makes it a lot easier.

Taking "concrete action" against Israel seems a bit late in the day, but at least it's something. Maybe.

About a year late. Toothless and gutless with it.
Just like they "threatened action" against Putin if he didn't agree to a ceasefire by several Mondays ago only to be ignored by Putin to which they did ... nothing. Demonstrating how totally ineffectual they are about following through any ultimatums, threats, etc. so Netanyahu knows he can completely ignore them and nothing will happen.

In the context of other western leaders though, Canada France and the UK are the first to stick their neck out. I'd rather that than hide in the crowd.
I agree but they need to follow through, do what they threaten. eg UK stop selling arms to Israel eg recognise Palestinian state, etc. Making a few noises and doing nothing is pretty trivial when it comes to "doing something".

How do we say this guy's name?? I thought it was 4 sylybubs, like this (from google):
Sounds like
neh·tuh·nyaa·hoo

... but some expert-with-gravitas (possibly from the Middle East himself) on R4 last night seemed to combine the last two, so more like:
neh-tuhn-yow

But this is what I don't get. Maybe I'm more on the Jury side due to being a musician. I just don't think the song was objectively very good. The performance was OK. It wasn't memorable. It wasn't catchy. It was just blah.

I can still hear Bara Bara Bastu. I can still remember the doll song. I enjoyed the song that was sung by the girl in the spotlight and the song by the undead member of kiss. I remember the jaunty tune and wiggly legs of coffee macchiato. I can remember the winning song thanks to the fierce and haunting voice of the singer. I can remember sod all about Israels entry except she climbed some scaffolding.

To be honest, I didn't see it and I've not heard the song.
