It always fascinates me why Israel is so obsessed with being compared to Hamas. Yes both sides commit war crimes. They've both used human shields, shot hostages, detained people without trial, moved troops in ambulances etc. One of them is a terrorist organisation though - is Israel jealous and wanting a similar classification?

If you look at pro-isreal media it's not how to want to be portrayed at all so it's an false narrative, other on left forums like this might compare them with Hamas on the more right forums site they are often haralded as ''the only democracy in the middle east'' which they might want to look on as on the outside it's not quite the whole story.

FYI - No-one is saying that Hamas are the "Good Guys". There are both good and bad people on both sides.

currently bad people in charge at both sides, it's just that if Hamas gets replaces by something better at least if might potentially stop or improve the human suffering in Gaza.

WW2 Germany certainly had some good guys, but that didn't stop the coalition forces absolutely pounding Germany into capitulation.
