So far as i known the only official one is the one used by the Palestinian authority, alltough there are many complaints about it's accuracy Isreal themselves uses them as well as it is the best they've got. (Not to be confused with the Idf who has their own estimates etc.)It would have been less typing for you just to write it!
I don’t know which one you’re referring to, or I wouldn’t ask. There are a number of sources for death figures.

that is not an official number, hence the ex-general part in the title. You were saying?
Ex israeli military chief confirms palestinian casualty toll probably exceeds 200000.
Edited to correct quote.

Go then read you nearly there just 2 or 3 post back, but knowing you it's 3 or 4 post ''you never said that'' after which i show you the evidence and you then nit pick on something just to win some petty points. Or in simplier terms you fail to admit failure.Go on then.
What's the official number?
It'll be good if you can come up with someone who wasn't directly involved and doesn't actually know what's been going down.
Have to say I'm surprised you're not taking the dude at his word considering his senior position in the IDF.

Again you could have just read used your eyes/follow the discussion, but no bueno you had to ask, so i will reply by with a quote from myself:This?
"and yet the official death count only barely hits the 100k(not even i think) not to diminish those numbers but Gaza has an estimated population off 2 million and reports left and right imply that in between 40 up to 72% of those official death are actually Hamas fighters."
Yeah, you said it, well done. Where are you getting this official death count from?

again if you would have just read you wouldn't have to aks for the source because it was already answered and you didn't have to go your whole IDF tantrum fit, because in that same page i already acknowledge the IDF. I mean even Isreali sources in general use the PLA numbers over those from the idf let alone those from a general who retired because he had beef with Nethanyahu[/b]Whatever, it's genuinely pointless discussing anything about this with you. Hell, even when someone gives you a legitimate IDF source you dismiss it because he's not on the front line any more.

Yes fair enough, i meant PLO but they changed names and puppets quite frequently.PLA? What does the Chinese army have to do with anything?
I guess you mean the Gaza Health Ministry. Fair enough, although Israel I disagree that Israeli sources accept them.
Issues might be an big word, but he said and stayed by the words that Hamas can't be defeated military and Nethanyahu clearly says otherwise, and shortly after they both contradicted eachother he announced his retirement. So on paper no direct link, but in effect it is clear in my view.No tantrums here, but I appreciate your concern.
I wasn't aware of any issues between Halevi and Netanyahu, he took a look of personal accountability for the attack on October 7 which seems for have been the driver for his retirement.

The real problem is that Hamas can be defeated militarily, but only by killing many times more innocent men, women and children to get at them. And even that will not stop another Hamas from starting up again, nor stop further alienating Israel from its neighbours and other countries other than its patron and military sponsor, the US.
