It's a rout - is the old order on the way out?

At the moment they don't need coherent policies, just crowd-pleasers.
And putting Labour on the back foot. Now if Labour remove the limit Farage will be declaring Reform pushed Labour to do it, Labour bowing to Reform. If Labour don't then they align themselves with the Conservatives and Farage can appear to have policies to support the less wealthy. Labour will now be reacting under pressure rather than initiating.

I suspect Labour will start hammering at "how is it funded?" Because as it stands their suite of policies would cost about £200Bn a year.

I don't think phasing out the triple lock will cover it.

Before a General Election Reform will commit to maintain the Tripple Lock. They need the votes of the older generation, particularly as older are more likely to vote (than younger), even more so if one party committed to keep it and another won't commit.

Reversing net zero and woke stuff.
Stopping the asylum hotels. Etc etc.
That must easily add up to £200bn.

Farage messed up his calculations or maybe didn't read the entire paragraph he got his numbers from. Farage's net zero policy saving he's using £45bn per year calculated by the Institute for Government except had he read a bit further he'd have seen that this is both private and public not just public. Gov. Climate Change Committee calculate £26bn per yr ⅔ of which will come from private funding but offset by £22bn of saving. So Farange cost estimates wildly out (again).

An interesting switch, if we have Labour asking "where is the money coming from?" 😂

Maybe there is a dawning realisation within the Labour hierarchy that there is only a finite supply of other people's money. Or else they still think that their magic money tree is better than Farage's.
