Several posters in other places have referred to EDL as an official organisation. It's demise as such probably tells us little more than that it's directors let it be 'struck off'.

It still exists in another form as evidenced this week.

Like many other disreputable businesses it starts up again with little if any difference.

Like dodgy builders or car dealers passim.

False equivalence alert.

If people are holding the EDL's flame, using its logo and organising their protests then they need to be dealt with.

Whether proscription is the answer is a question for the government but I'm pretty sure that the law in that area has tools do deal with amorphous and diverse outfits.

Violence is the last resort. Sometimes necessary, what do you expect from heightened tensions. Three young children murdered.

This government, previous governments have ignored the nations social problems, they have ultimately created this.
