As for the post of @winjim saying your friends and family could see it, is irrelevant....because would your friends and family know your username??? mine certainly wouldnt, so wouldnt have a clue who posted what. It was just be a load of ramblings from some internet persona's....its not like twitter, facebook, tiktok were your actual name is posted on the thread, i mean i bet 99% of the world wouldnt know that cyclechat even exists or what its about.

Also what is key here, is that members voted for it to be UN-moderated....so copying posts from here and taken them to the main site, and asking the moderators to do something about is just plain daft.

You are missing the point.
You were told by me a month before @winjim and @classic33 told you, that this section was visible to visitors, yet have continued largely in the same manner. It may be an unmoderated separate section from the main CC site, but it is clearly linked to the main site and will therefore be of interest to the sites owner.
If as you claim, arguments, comments or statements from here are being carried over to the main site, why not take it up with the moderators over there? If they agree with you, presumably action would be taken against the poster. If the moderators do not agree with you, presumably your claim is unsubstantiated.
Alternatively, move away from NACA for a while or use the ignore button? You clearly disagree with a number of posters on here and some seem to know which of your buttons to press to spark a reaction.

As for the rest, its not upto you to tell me what to do or others. You can advise, but its upto each individual what they put into the forum.

1. Its not just me posting shoot, but for some reason everyone wants to say it is, because they dont want to take responsibilty for their own actions.

Maybe take a look on the main site and look up the rules for this new place. It will show what the owner said.He will only offer technical support and Nothing else, its a stand alone site, but you must be a member of CC to gain access for posting. He offers no moderation and no control. There is also a thread in here on moderation, were members posted they wanted it left unmoderated, maybe you should ask why that is??

The reason, because they wanted the option to abuse people that didnt agree with them and they have done that long before i became a member here, there are even posts in here asking for them to stop and they still carried on, long before i came here. YET, now they all want to point the finger at me for all the wrongs with this forum, because they cant admit they are part of the problem and NO im not claiming any victimhood here, just stating facts.

There are many members on this annexed part of the forum just for the fact its unmoderated, they have said so themselves. They have stated they do not want to be controlled or be told what they can or cant post. Why?? and why would come onto a moderated forum like the other place if you didnt want to be controlled by the rules you signed up for, whats the point. But now because of that membership, they now have access to this place, the unmoderated place that they actually asked for, so that they could post anything they wanted and abuse anybody they want. I didnt come here at the start, it was open for around 10mths, before i even asked for password.


But this place was already becoming a toxic environment long before i asked for a password. Did i add to the toxicity of it, yeh i dd and so did a lot of others and they gladly typed out their posts in reply, but not wanting to be held responsible for it, knowing it was all unmoderated. Did they know people could see their posts, hell yeh they did, because they were told long before you posted it and long before i came here too.

yeh its typical of this place.....do as we say or we will ignore or ask you to leave. Which is why the membership is so low, again nothing to do with me, its was low before i got here.

The majority view in here tends to be left and pro EU. Nobody has to toe the line; alternative views properly expressed and preferably reasoned are welcome.

On the other hand people who put forward views without rationale or reason and resort to offence when challenged might well be ignored or invited to disengage.

This is pretty much spot on IMO. I'd say that pretty much all members are open to debate, willing to justify their positions, and back them up with evidence. But then you have f*ckwits who claim their being victimised without contributing anything of substance. Pathetic.

Now that's perfectly fine by me because it's somewhere you can all slap each other on the back and congratulate yourselves on knowing what's best for the country and doing the right thing, but please, please don't make out you want intellectual, deep meaningful debate about the unfortunate position we (you) find yourselves in.

I have not noticed this, but have not really done any research into how often it happens. If it is not just your personal prejudice could you let us know how often this happens?

I believe I can recall it happening a very small number of times, not in response to a point made but to a statement that someone has made that they come on here just to disagree with "you lot".

Apolgies if I was unclear; my intended meaning was that the sentiment seems to fit nicely with many many posts on here, and the attitudes often expressed (despite the regular pleas of "we would benefit from more varied views and opinions" which I'm beginning to think is actually a rather cunning in-joke ... )

It is the "many, many" times that you are implying people who differ from the majority on particular issues are told "please move away" that I am questioning. I have seen it, I believe, in a very small number of instances as outlined in my post but would like to see any evidence of "many, many", which I assume you based your comments on.

Well this is the thing though, nobody wants this to be an echo chamber.

I'd be more than happy to discuss anything, consider my position, perhaps change it. I have done in the past based on the views of others on these forums.

But then, even as I was typing this, you get nonsense as above from @jowwy. How are you meant to engage meaningfully with that?
