What you need to know as ScotRail starts charging ticket dodgers minimum £10 fare​

The answer to this is "that you need to buy a ticket".

Er, not quite. You've always been able to buy a ticket on board on Scotrail trains (if the guard can be bothered selling them) and you still can, but now subject to a minimum of £10.
So the answer is "you need to buy a ticket before you get on, unless:
it would be over £10 anyway;
you can see the train is packed;
or it's after 22:00 on Friday or Saturday."

There's no chance that gas from that field would be available this winter, why isn't that being pointed out by the reporting?

That is probably what will happen though. Makes more sense that we access our own reserves rathet than buy it off another country, don't you think?

This isn't accessing reserves, it's a man who wants to make money claiming that the govt needs to let him make money based on something that may or may not happen, and where the solution is not going to happen this year, and possibly not even next year. But he would like to make more money please.

According to the article, the claim is, supply could be available from October. I note that no year is specified 😊

He very probably does want to make money as he is in business - shock horror. But it would also involve accessing UK reserves

So why can booking a court cost £100 an hour?​

Can anyone work out the answer to this conundrum? Anyone?

Also spoiler - the figure quoted is for the most expensive court they could find (in Canary wharf), so not exactly representative...

It’s really noisy.
The 12 court tennis club near me what’s to install padel courts, as you can fit 8 players on the area of a traditional tennis court. But it is really noisy and the neighbours don’t want them. Especially as people play under floodlights.
They have installed 2 sound proofed courts to see how they get on.

If people start installing courts in their gardens it could get very annoying.

Makes me wonder why a client of mine has failed to pay invoices for the work we did helping him convert a building into a padel centre and is in breach of planning for failing to deliver some of the planning conditions
