Oh goody, we can have the legal tender argument again.

Anyone over the age of about 40 will have grown up with pre decimal George VI coins still in circulation and used as 5ps anyway.

Those of us a bit older, using money before decimalisation, grew up with coins as far back as Victoria still in circulation.

I've Edwardian Florin tucked away somewhere.

Yesterday I found an old pound coin in the zipped pocket of an infrequently used cycling top.
Ceased to be legal tender in 2017, apparently. Now I need to find a bank to swap it for a legal one. Could be fun!
