It's an odd world out there.

Food banks are being closed on Monday so people can show their respects by starving. It's what she would have wanted.

Because people don't want to work / volunteer on bank holidays.
Nope. Monday is usually change over day for Center Parcs. What they have said is that people staying more than one week (a very, very small number of affected people) will be able to stay in their accommodation after realising it was stupid to try and throw them out. But the villages and facilities will be shut.So... Center Parcs decided the best way to commemorate the Queen was to kick everyone out of their accommodation for 24 hours?
They have since U-turned on the decision, but what is going on with people?
People will be able to visit on days when the food bank is open. This may come as a shock to you but food banks are not open 24/7.Has hunger been informed?

It turns out their staff want the bank holiday and they don't want to pay overtime.

Ce
the odd thing about Centreparcs is that they usually love bank holidays and their prices rocket for that weekend.
They don’t like this one because they’ve had no notice of it and can’t put prices up, but the staff want their usual double bubble.
